"Asslammualaikum... Everyone, well every one can say I am a good designer, every one can say that I am a advertising student. But do you think will everyone do believe it?
Which is when people hear or see things they will have this affect state which is there at the first is a visceral level there will have this things like is this good or is it bad? for the second, for the behavioral level they will see such as, is this important? for the third stage in this reflective thought... they will believe that.. do I care... or should I care with this things..
Well words are tends to be boring and that why people always have problem with text. So.. which is in design... design was the prove to our hard-work, it prove our skill and our talent. If we have made a great job,then why people have to deny it?
So, for an example.. When you have an interview for a job, you seeking a job as animation or as a designer.. You are prepare a well speech and you prepare you resume with maybe a good and nice result as a 4 flat... But, killing softly it will willing too see your work which is in this case you design. So, there which the one what I am gonna say that believe it or not.. You get it... You should admit it that design speak louder than word. That all. Thank you..."

Advertising is everywhere in this world. Advertisement is like a virtual world because it communicated people and easy way to make this circle to be flat world. We use advertisement neither in printing or in television commercial to tell a story, to inform others also to influence people. Aesthetic evaluation is important to get a better design or artwork. First thing first, we should be able to know the criteria so we can get to the target (audience/viewer/client). Four criterion has been set based on my SUBJECTIVISM opinion, i.e.
- Audience will non-stop laughing after watched the video even in regularization/several times.
- Audience will be instruct to crying while watching the video even after a long time.
- Audience should feel moved by the video and start to repent themselves and remind it forever.
- Audience will be overawed with the video immediately even after watched in several times.
The chosen short commercial animation advertisement for this aesthetic evaluation is a AJINAMOTO STADIUM commercial…
[EVALUATION]
In my subjectivism opinion, this video only suit two my criterion. Absolutely this video make people all around of the world non-stop laughing. It has it’s own style on make the audience pay attention to the story until the end. They using a strategy with creating a ‘trap’ by creating a situation based on simple question, like “what happen to all those girl”, “are they real woman”. They let the audience puzzling and lead the audience mind to thinking what exactly the real answer for those situation.
To make the things look perfectly outstanding, they using beauty image. By choosing an appropriate style and theme such a good image will make the story became more dramatically. It is obvious that people will attracted to beauty things then ugly one. My friends who using EMOTIVISM opinion have the same idea towards the things that make audience stay longer too watched this video. Beauty always attractive and it is natural for human. So, when this two different things are combine as naturally people will choose the one who they can be confident can give the benefit or the one who are TRUE.
Beyond of human thinking, physical beauty is not always the perfect one. By this video, the audience can repent themselves about judging the others. Human are naturally demanding about look, but when it opposite with humanity rule that beyond of society perspective we cannot cross the line. But in hilarious way, they created the story telling by make the main actors get scared to the beauty ladies with a man voices. It is not only a woman, but it is all the beauty woman around him. The audience laugh when they imagine ‘if this is real?’, ‘this is stupid’, ‘what a ridiculous thing could happen’. It gets funny when the real things a reveal.
In conclusion, this video give a deep thought to the audience, that the truth is never the same as what we thinking. Maybe… we should ask first before start to make a judgement. A deep thought always stay longer in heart so the audience will always remember it even after a long time.

As for the second assignment in Reading For Blogging, we were asked to read this book Emotional Design by Donald Norman who is a professor of computer science at Northwestern and a cognitive scientist. By this book he represents his research in the study of affect and emotion. Norman approach that emotions, have a crucial role in the human ability to understand the world, and how they learn things. In this view I personally accept as agree that human react basically by their emotion on how they feel and what they thought. By the first chapter, Norman said emotions, were known can changes the way human solves problems and this were related with the cognitive system operates. It’s believed that related findings has to do with the role of aesthetics in product design which is, attractive things make people feel good when it simple to use and it was easier for people find the solution while make a question. Modern cognitive science research has demonstrated that cognition and affective processing truly are interwoven and inseparable, and that in many respects the affective reaction establishes priorities. Everything has a cognitive component, to assign meaning, and an affective component, to assign value. Therefore, the manifestation of the two in behavior (functionality) means that good product design must accommodate the integration of affective, behavioral, and cognitive reactions. People, assign their habit by choosing things depends on their expectations of the brands, products, and services they are consume. Which by the three levels of processing that have told in the book Visceral, Behavioral, and Reflective. This three levels were in part reflect the biological origins of the brain that each level plays a different role. As a human who live with brain, muscle, heart which is beat and breath by the air who always have desire we cannot avoid from have affect which is neither in a positive or negative affect. This is how a design affect people. At the Visceral level, people would react as good or bad? Is it safe or dangerous? Did it pretty or ugly? Because they will affective response triggered by appearance: sight, sound, smell, feel. This part of brain were the automatic, prewired layer that give fast, automatic, unconscious, inalterable which is every person were very similar although their individual differences in magnitude. The part that contains the brain processes that control everyday behavior known as Behavioral level. The pleasure and effectiveness of use were shown here triggered by the visceral response, neither it good or bad. When "Bad" leads to muscle tensing, "escape" syndrome and "Good" leads to enhanced productivity and when they not conscious neither it show the tools are invisible it’s just flow from their mind. This effect by their experiences and education in three facets that is function, performance and usability. In next level, which is the contemplative part of the brain, or the Reflective level was the intellectualization and rationalization of a choice after through the process of understanding the product and by the pride of the ownership, integration into self image. It can moderate the behavioral reactions, but not really the affective way. It is also most vulnerable to cultural variability on surroundings. Norman shows that design of most objects are perceived on all three levels (dimensions). Therefore a good design should address all three levels. Good design means that beauty and usability are in balance. An object that is beautiful to the core is no better than one that is only pretty if they both lack usability. In the quest for enhancement of life, let us not be usability bigots. Yes, products must be usable. But all the many factors of design must be in harmony. Marketing considerations must be accounted for, aesthetic appeal, manufacturability -- all are important. The products must be affordable, functional, and pleasurable. And above all a pleasure to own, a pleasure to use. After all, attractive things work better. In my conclusion, that aesthetically pleasing object will influence people emotion and often attract people.

ON THE AESTHETICS EDUCATION OF MAN was a book that assign by our Lecturer to read for our first assignment. It was a series of letters that Friedrich Schiller wrote to a Danish Prince, Friedrich Christian of Schleswig Holstein – Augustenburg. Through this book I have seen the “Beauty” in other perspective and in a different way. In the letters, he gives the philosophic basis and persuasively his view of the place of beauty in human life. Generally, what I understand with these letters was how Schiller let the prince share his think to make a great state of mankind. He sees through the beauty and art in how this thing can change people mind and let the mankind has a soul in living in this world. It seems complicated for me and I just go through with what I found interesting me the most for become an issue. We had some discussion with my friends and we agree that is, in the second letter, which is at paragraph five, Schiller stated ‘the fact that I am resisting this delightfull temptation, and allowing Beauty to have precedence of Freedom, I believe I can not merely defend by inclination but justify on principle’. By this statement Schiller has preferring beauty to freedom related on underlying theory or what he believe based on Kant’s system and followed by the next statement which is, ‘this subject is far less alien to the need of the age than to its taste, that we must indeed, if we are to solve that political problem in practise, follow the path of aesthetics, since it is through Beauty that we arrived at Freedom”. The last sentenced make me keep wondering, how is Beauty can lead to Freedom? What exactly freedom by Schiller sight?
And I read again the letter to find any answer to my question. At the same paragraph, which is at the first sentence, gave me clue that I think can lead me to the answer. Schiller were interested to inquire into an object such as this, to decide such a question in conjunction with a thinker of a powerful mind, a man of liberal sympathies, and a heart imbued with noble enthusiasm for the weal of humanity. He look of “Beauty and Art” will lead humanity into more civilization society. A perfection of life in Schiller sight is when in a society the moral principles was the necessity matter of the greatest concern to every human being. Through all the letters, with what I understand, Schiller mark that morality important to have a peace life without any injurious consequences. I personally agreed with it. How?
In the third letter, Schiller gave thought that when man is raised from his slumber in the senses, he feels that he is a man, he surveys his surroundings, and finds that he is in a state. He was introduced into this state, by the power of circumstances, before he could freely select his own position. But as moral being he cannot possibly rest satisfied with a political condition forced upon him by necessity, and only calculated for that condition and it would be unfortunate if this did satisfy him. In many cases man shakes off this blind law of necessity, by his free spontaneous action, of which among many others we have an instance, in his ennobling by beauty and suppressing by moral influence the powerful impulse implanted in him by nature in the passion of love.
In my way of thinking, it said that moral experience can be applied with greater truth to the manifestation of “the beautiful”. Is it because of what people desire and what of their intention or what I meant how they can satisfied their self it was always back to happiness. In this case, it will be the “beauty”. Everyone want something nice, somehow feel good and look good so we can’t denied what we want in our life to be great. The main idea was how we go through this necessity by the character of the people who can’t appreciate the beauty? Because a man can be opposed to himself in twofold of manner, either as a savage who despises art and let his feelings rule over his principles or as barbarian that his principle destroy his feelings that dishonor nature. These two kind of manner will never be free from what make their life miserable because it will always be anger or unsatisfied with life.
In my personal view, beauty was an abstract and does not only state for nice look generally for human, but it is also can be seen by our personality, our manner, our feel to another, the way we treat people and our surroundings. When a person, can genuinely appreciate beauty, he will never make something that can harm or destroy it. In a mankind or society, when there imprinted appreciation of beauty in their heart and in their life, there will be no violence among to each other and for the same reason there will be no war. I hardly say it, but in my opinion I believe that’s true. How beauty can lead to freedom is when we have our self in a better way of life which is there will be no threat for us and we live with calm and peace.
In my conclusion, the beauty has gave us to freedom in many ways that we can’t see but we will feel it. The freedom is not only at our physical but it should at our heart that can let the art bring us the view of the other world in peace and calm.
